APPLICATION PROCEDURE |
- Mix well AFCIPART
and then apply it evenly on the pattern or corebox.
- AFCIPART
being free flowing is suitable for application by swabbing, brushing
or spraying. It should be sprayed onto pattern equipment and core
boxes to obtain thin coating which is sufficient to ensure a number
of clean, non clogging lifts and also most economical.
- For shell moulding,
pattern equipment must be thoroughly degreased with trichlorethylene
and coat with a thin film of translucent silicone grease. Then heat
the pattern equipment to operating temperature for ten minutes and
apply AFCIPART by spraying.
- In the case of
green sand moulding with new pattern and core box, pattern equipment
must be coated each time it is used. Alternatively excellent results
can be obtained by brushing and swabbing application .

of conventional coal dust, mould dialition, poor surface finish, high
additions, rat-tails, scabs, buckles etc.

and Solvent based-AFCIMOL range of refractory coatings. |
