is a range of a Breakdown agent for Sodium Silicate Binder System
to improve collapsibility. Cores & Moulds produced by CO2 and Self setting
process retain their strength even at higher temperature. This retained
strength makes core and mould knockout difficult. |

a breakdown agent in its own not only eases removal of cores and moulds
from the casting surface but also improves the strength of the cores,
surface finish of the castings and imparts easy knockout properties.
Recommended to be added with AFCISIL 45. |

APPLICATION PROCEDURE |
- Generally 1.0
% to 2.0 % of AFCIBREAK is sufficient to give good collapsibility,
however it may vary with type of alloy being used, amount of liquid
binder being used, type of sand, and casting configuration.
- Good monitoring
of trial lots will lead to optimum addition percentages.
- Run the mixer
until water is well distributed.
- For good results,
while making, it is necessary to add AFCIBREAK before addition
of AFCISIL 45 or other Foundry grade Sodium Silicate.
